Every child deserves a safe, supportive environment to grow, heal, and thrive. For children in residential care who have experienced trauma, a dedicated Support Worker isn't just a staff member-they are a beacon of stability, a mentor, and a crucial pillar of support.
We are seeking compassionate, resilient, and experienced Residential Support Workers to join our teams across the North East and Cumbria. In this role, you will be supporting children with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD) and managing some challenging behaviours, helping them navigate their daily lives and build brighter futures.
Why Your Role Matters
Healing Trauma: You will provide the consistent, trauma-informed care these children need to feel safe and understood.
Building Resilience: Your presence helps children manage emotional challenges and develop positive behavioral patterns.
Creating Community: You will help maintain a warm, structured, and nurturing home environment.
What We Are Looking For
To maintain the high standard of care our children deserve, new registrations must meet the following:
Proven Experience: You must demonstrate direct experience working within Residential Children's Homes and a solid understanding of working with children affected by trauma.
Flexibility: Ability to work a variety of shift patterns, as we have both day and night shifts available.
Commute & Travel: Willingness and flexibility to travel up to 1 hour to various homes across the locality. Being a car driver is highly ideal, though not strictly essential.
Right to Work: Valid Right to Work (RTW) in the UK for full-time hours. Please note, we cannot accept applicants with 20-hour student visa restrictions for this role.
