The Risk Analyst will support the organisation in identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks across operational, financial, and regulatory domains. You will work closely with business units to monitor key risk indicators (KRIs), enhance the firm's risk framework, and support regulatory compliance and reporting initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor and analyse operational, financial, and strategic risks across departments
Maintain and update the Risk Register and other risk tracking tools
Support risk event investigation, root cause analysis, and remediation plans
Prepare periodic risk reports and dashboards for senior management and regulators
Assist in the development and review of risk policies, procedures, and internal controls
Track and report Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and escalating breaches where appropriate
Collaborate with internal audit, compliance, and legal on governance reviews
Support risk assessments for new products, systems, or processes
Stay informed on regulatory developments (e.g., Central Bank of Ireland expectations, DORA)
Skills & Qualifications
Degree in Finance, Economics, Risk Management, Business, or related discipline
1-3 years' experience in risk, compliance, audit, or internal controls (financial services experience preferred)
Strong analytical skills with proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and/or risk tools (e.g., RSA Archer, MetricStream)
Familiarity with risk frameworks (e.g., COSO, ISO 31000, Solvency II, Basel)
Understanding of financial products and services, including banking, funds, or fintech
Strong attention to detail and ability to synthesise complex information
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Professional certifications (or progress toward) such as FRM, PRM, or IRM are advantageous
