        Are you an experienced Project Monitoring Assistant looking for your next challenge? Then we have an exciting role for you on a part time basis. Main purpose of the role -To assist the Coordinator in meeting all financial regulatory requirements of both the County Council and that of the respective external funding bodies. Provide monitoring support and guidance to the Coordinator ensuring that the audit trails generated are sufficiently robust to monitor and evaluate the progress of the project;To assist the coordinator to ensure the timely implementation of Communities for Work and Communities for Work Plus Programmes, to deliver a comprehensive and integrated Business support which meets the aims and objectives of the programme.To provide support to the Coordinator in order to achieve project aims within the programme.To keep clear and concise records on the project implemented by the Economic Development Division, and to prepare information on the financial assistance to agreed standards and deadlines in line with the Authority's financial regulations, European and Welsh Government's guidelines.To provide monthly analytical reports on the progress of the project in order to support officers delivering the project and to summarise activities undertaken for monitoring purposes.To compile quarterly claims for internal and external sources in line with the Authority's financial regulations, European and the Welsh Government's guidelinesTo liaise with both internal and external groups/organisations at all levels and to resolve conflict as and when it arises, to ensure successful delivery of the project to agreed timescales, budgets and standards.To process and record all expenditure/income/match funding under the programme, to ensure all claim forms for external funding bodies are completed and cross referenced in line with the Grants Compliance Manual, the Financial Regulations, and the Terms and Conditions of external funding partners.To implement, maintain and evaluate robust systems to monitor and record project outputs to satisfy external funding bodies' audit requirements.To maintain continuous clear lines of communication with the Welsh Government and CCC Grants Compliance Officer to ensure that the project complies with internal grant compliance, audit and Welsh Government and EU requirements.Must have HND or HNC in finance related field / AAT level 3. About the roleAs a Financial Controller, you can expect your major responsibilities to be the followings:You will be reporting to the UK Finance Director and overseeing four accounting assistants.
