      Randstad engineering is recruiting for an assistant shift team leader to work on a permanent basis for an existing client based in Glasgow. The role will suit experienced assistant shift team leaders from any manufacturing background. Exposure to the waste management sector will be highly desirable!! The successful candidates will have Process or Power Plant experience and experience with maintenance management systems. The role: Supervising the shift teams ensuring the efficient operation and maintenance of the plant, prioritising workloads to ensure maximum process efficiency Organise shift cover when required, ensuring shift complement is maintained. Flexible working requirements to achieve KPI's. Manage the ERF Safe System of Work as an Authorised Person (AP). Carry out risk assessments to ensure activities are carried out in a safe manner Working with the management team striving for continual improvement in minimising Health, safety and environmental impacts at the ERF plant. Completion of any incident reporting and carrying out follow-up investigations as necessary. Responsible for ensuring the ERF plant is being operated within the IPPC permit at all times. Respond and act on any internal or external issues, concerns or complaints and respond in a prompt, courteous and professional manner in accordance with ERF procedures. Ensure all quality parameters are met. Promote flexible team working by creating an environment and the resources which will enable the team to identify issues and create innovative solutions to problems and opportunities. Carry out regular team meetings (or briefings) ensuring good communications are achieved at all times.
