If so this current role working at the University for Creative Arts could be an exciting opportunity for youRandstad Student & Worker Support are looking for reliable and committed Study Assistants to work with Students at the for Creative Arts - Farnham Campus with a view to start in September. The working hours are usually: Monday, Tuesday Thursday and Friday 10-4.30, and this will be working on a one to one basis, meaning you are able to build a strong rapport with the student you are supportingWorking as a study assistant you will be providing an essential 1-1 service to students who due to their disability cannot support themselves. You will attend various lectures and seminars and take accurate notes for students as well as providing practical and motivational support, ensuring the student is engaged with their studies Benefits:E-learning and CPD28 days holiday pay pro rata£10 per hour - plus holiday payWorking for the UK's leading providerBe part of a creative learning environment Responsibilities:Providing Study Assistant support to students suffering from disabilities/mental health conditions your responsibilities will include:Producing accurate and legible handwritten notes for lectures, seminars/tutorials and group tasksTo maintain a professional role as a support worker and be aware of the need to maintain this professional relationship with the student at all timesTo act in the best interests of learners at all times whilst also working within the policies and procedures of the institutionProviding practical support, this may be in the library, laboratory or workshop/studio etc. As well as mobility support to assist a student with a physical impairment in manoeuvring around the campusReading aloudScribingText checking (pointing out errors but not providing corrections)You will work closely with Randstad regarding the needs of individual students, ensuring that any concerns are addressed in a timely manner. You will be expected to act professionally and maintain confidentiality within your role at all times, sharing all relevant information with Randstad to ensure the best possible service to your students.
