About the Role
The successful candidate will join an active administrative team as a temporary Support Administrator. In this full-time role starting immediately, the individual will act as a central pillar of support for daily operational activities across the main office and school departments. The position involves managing front line inquiries from parents, staff, and visitors, overseeing attendance and student data tracking, generating routine reports, and ensuring all administrative workflows execute smoothly. Working closely with school leadership and pastoral teams, the administrator plays a vital part in maintaining high standards of child protection, organisational efficiency, and community communication throughout the academic term.

... - Safeguarding Qualification: Must hold a valid, recognised Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) Certificate (Essential).
- DBS Status: An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to undergo immediate clearance).
- Experience: Prior experience working within a secondary school, college, or complex educational administrative setting.
- Right to Work: Verified right to work in the UK.

Key Responsibilities
- Frontline Desk Management: Meet and greet school visitors, contractors, and parents in line with entry protocols.
- Communication & Correspondence: Handle incoming telephone calls, general email inquiries, and outgoing school mailers.
- Student Records Maintenance: Input, update, and audit pupil information on the Management Information System (MIS).
- Attendance Tracking: Assist the attendance team with monitoring absences, making first-day calls, and filing attendance records.
- Safeguarding Support: Maintain strict safeguarding procedures, log concerns accurately, and liaise with key staff utilising valid DSL expertise.
- Reprographics & Admin Support: Assist teaching departments with document preparation, printing, filing, and resource organisation.
- Event Coordination: Provide organisational support for school events, open evenings, parent consultations, and educational visits.
- Supply & Staff Support: Help log staff absences, coordinate internal cover bookings, and welcome guest educators.
- Post & Deliveries: Sort and distribute daily incoming mail, deliveries, and stock items across departments.
- Data Reporting: Assist senior staff with generating routine administrative reports, attendance spreadsheets, and student logs.
