This SEMH school in Crayford, London offers a vibrant learning environment. We are working with a dedicated SEMH school seeking a Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join their nurturing and dynamic team. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who wants to work in a specialist setting and play a vital role in helping students reach their full potential-academically, socially and emotionally.
Key Responsibilities of this role include:
... - Supporting students aged 5-16 with SEMH needs in both 1:1 and small group settings
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs and therapists to implement personalised learning and behaviour strategies
- Helping to create a safe, structured and inclusive learning environment
- Supporting pupils in developing emotional regulation, resilience and confidence
What we're looking for:
- Eligibility to work in UK
- Enhanced DBS or willing to get new one
- Experience working with young people (desirable but not essential)
- Experience working with children or young people with SEMH, autism, ADHD, or similar needs
- Calm, empathetic and proactive approach to behaviour management
- Able to build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
