We are seeking an intellectually curious and high-energy Qualified Science Teacher (QTS) with a strong Chemistry specialism for a permanent position at our partner Secondary School in St Neots, commencing this September. This school is renowned for its commitment to the sciences and is looking for a practitioner who can deliver the curriculum with both academic rigor and real-world relevance.
Your Strategic Impact: Responsibilities
- Chemistry Specialism: Lead the delivery of Chemistry across KS3 and KS4, with a specific focus on preparing Year 11 and A-Level cohorts for high-stakes examinations.
- Balanced Science Delivery: Contribute to the wider Science department by delivering Biology and Physics modules at Key Stage 3, ensuring a holistic scientific foundation for all students.
- Laboratory Excellence: Design and facilitate complex practical experiments, utilizing the school's modern laboratory facilities and working in tandem with the technician team.
- Data-Informed Pedagogy: Utilise assessment data to identify learning gaps and implement targeted interventions to ensure every student achieves their potential.
- Curriculum Enrichment: Contribute to the development of new schemes of work that reflect contemporary scientific advancements and the Green Chemistry agenda.
- Pastoral Stewardship: Act as a Form Tutor, providing consistent academic and emotional support to a dedicated group of learners.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Mandatory. A degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a closely related scientific discipline.
