We are seeking a dedicated Qualified Teacher (QTS) to join our pool of elite educators supporting secondary schools in Braintree. Whether you are a Subject Specialist looking for a long-term temporary placement or a versatile Supply Teacher seeking the variety of daily bookings, we have immediate opportunities available. You will be joining schools that are committed to rapid improvement and academic excellence, requiring teachers who can hit the ground running and build immediate rapport with students.
Your Responsibilities
- Academic Leadership: Deliver high-quality, pre-planned lessons (supply) or design comprehensive schemes of work (long-term) that align with the national curriculum.
- Positive Climate: Establish a productive learning environment from the moment the bell rings, utilising the school's behaviour policy to maintain focus and respect.
- Differentiated Support: Adapt your delivery to support a wide range of needs, including students with SEND and high-attaining "G&T" learners.
- Effective Feedback: Provide clear, actionable feedback to students and leave detailed handover notes for departmental colleagues to ensure continuity of learning.
- Community Engagement: Act as a professional representative of the school, participating in duties and departmental collaborations as required.
What You'll Bring to the Team
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) / QTLS: Mandatory.
- Braintree Focus: A commitment to working within the local Braintree area and an understanding of the Essex secondary school context.
- Resilience: A "can-do" attitude and the ability to adapt to different school cultures and classroom dynamics quickly.
- Subject Expertise: A strong grasp of your specialist subject (Maths, English, Science, Humanities, PE, etc.) at KS3 and KS4.
- Compliance: An enhanced Child DBS on the Update Service (or a willingness to process a new one via Randstad).
