We are seeking a high-impact Qualified Science Teacher (QTS) for a permanent position at our partner Secondary School in Cambridge, starting this September. This school is a centre for academic excellence and is looking for a specialist who can deliver high-quality practical and theoretical lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. Your Responsibilities
As a permanent member of the Science department, you will:
- Inquiry-Based Delivery: Plan and deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4, with the opportunity to lead A-Level classes in your specific discipline (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
- Practical Leadership: Facilitate safe and exciting laboratory experiments that bring the curriculum to life, supported by a dedicated team of technicians.
- GCSE Mastery: Lead Year 11 cohorts through their exam specifications, utilising data-driven tracking to ensure every student hits or exceeds their target grade.
- STEM Advocacy: Contribute to extracurricular clubs and national competitions, fostering a culture of scientific inquiry throughout the school.
- Curriculum Development: As a permanent staff member, you will help shape and refine the Science schemes of work to ensure they remain cutting-edge and inclusive.
- Pastoral Commitment: Take on a form tutor role, providing holistic support and academic mentoring to a dedicated group of students.
