Job Title: Secondary Cover Supervisor | Chelmsford
Salary/Rate: £110 - £120 per day
Location: Central Chelmsford, Essex

Randstad Education is currently partnering with a highly regarded, high-performing secondary academy in Central Chelmsford to recruit proactive and adaptable Cover Supervisors. This role is ideal for graduates aspiring to enter teaching, experienced youth workers, or sports coaches who excel at leading groups of young people.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise whole classes across Key Stages 3 and 4 in the absence of their regular subject teachers.
- Deliver pre-set work provided by the department, ensuring pupils stay focused and on task.
- Maintain effective classroom management and a positive learning environment in line with school policies.
- Collect completed work at the end of the lesson and provide handover notes for returning staff.
Candidate Requirements:
- Experience working with children or young adults aged 11-16 (e.g., coaching, youth work, tutoring, or classroom support).
- Confident communication skills and strong classroom presence.
- Degree qualification is preferred (ideal for aspiring teachers / ECT preparation), but relevant experience is fully considered.
- Active Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or readiness to process one immediately).
