Job Title: General Cover Secondary Teacher | Daily & Short-Term Supply
Salary/Rate: £130 - £200 per day (Depending on Experience)

Randstad Education is seeking reliable General Cover Teachers to join our talent pool for a thriving, vibrant secondary academy located in Central Chelmsford. Whether you are an experienced secondary teacher seeking a better work-life balance or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) wanting exposure to diverse departments, this position offers consistent day-to-day and short-term block bookings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cover timetabled lessons across a range of secondary subjects in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
- Execute pre-planned lessons efficiently, ensuring continuity of learning across different subject departments.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively, maintaining high expectations for work and conduct.
- Leave detailed handovers for regular department staff upon completion of cover assignments.
Candidate Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS (ECTs and experienced teachers welcomed).
- Adaptable teaching style capable of stepping into various subject areas with confidence.
- Strong behavior management and interpersonal skills.
- Active Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or readiness to undergo a new check immediately).
