Job Title: Secondary Maths Teacher (KS3 & KS4)
Location: Colchester, Essex
Pay Rate: £150.00 - £200.00 per day (DOE)
Contract: Full-Time / Part-Time (Long-Term & Permanent Options)
About the Role
Randstad Education is seeking a dynamic and qualified Secondary Maths Teacher to join secondary schools across Colchester. You will play a pivotal role in delivering engaging mathematics teaching, empowering students to build confidence and excel in their academic journeys.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach Mathematics to pupils of varying abilities across KS3 and KS4 GCSE specifications (AQA, Edexcel, OCR).
- Create innovative lesson plans that break down complex mathematical concepts into accessible learning steps.
- Monitor pupil progress, implement intervention strategies for target groups, and provide clear academic feedback.
- Contribute to departmental planning, assessment recording, and parent's evenings.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment aligned with school behaviour and inclusion policies.
Requirements:
- QTS / QTLS status specialising in Mathematics or related subject area. ECTs welcome.
- Proven track record of raising student attainment in secondary mathematics.
- Essential: Safeguarding, Prevent, and Allergy Training completed within the last 12 months (or a commitment to complete these prior to placement to meet full GCA clearance standards, which Randstad is compliant with).
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or commitment to apply for one).
- Right to work in the UK.
