The Opportunity
Are you a compassionate, energetic, and proactive individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people? We are seeking a Secondary Teaching Assistant to join an "Outstanding" rated academy within our prestigious Federation.
In this role, you won't just be an "extra pair of hands"-you will be a vital part of our instructional and inclusion team. Whether you are supporting a student with additional needs (SEND), leading a small literacy intervention group, or helping a teacher maintain a focused classroom, you will be an ambassador for our "can-do" culture. We believe in empowering our students to achieve "exceedingly, abundantly, and above all" they can imagine, and our Teaching Assistants are at the heart of that mission.
Why Join Us?
Joining our academy means joining one of the most successful educational networks in the UK. We invest in our support staff just as much as our teachers.
Financial Rewards: Competitive London pro-rata salary, plus eligibility for annual performance and loyalty bonuses paid in December.
Pathways to Teaching: Many of our TAs go on to train as qualified teachers through our internal School Direct and apprenticeship programmes.
Professional Development: Access to specialized training in SEND, Literacy, and Numeracy interventions through our dedicated Teaching and Leadership Institute.
Wellbeing First: A comprehensive wellbeing cash plan (covering dental, optical, and physio), 24/7 employee assistance, and a generous pension scheme.
A Structured Environment: Work in a school that values discipline and order, where a centralized behavior system ensures a calm and productive atmosphere for everyone.
What We Are Looking For
We welcome applications from graduates, experienced TAs, or those looking to start a career in education who possess:
Strong Core Skills: Grade C/4 or above in GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent) is essential. A degree is highly desirable.
Passion for Learning: A genuine desire to support the academic and personal growth of secondary-aged students.
Resilience: The ability to stay calm under pressure and maintain high expectations for student behavior.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written skills to interact with pupils, teachers, and parents.
Adaptability: A flexible approach to supporting different subjects and age groups across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Key Responsibilities
Academic Support: Deliver small-group interventions to help close attainment gaps in core subjects.
Inclusion: Provide 1:1 support for students with Special Educational Needs (SEND), ensuring they can access the full curriculum.
Classroom Management: Assist teachers in preparing resources and maintaining a stimulating, organized, and focused learning environment.
Mentorship: Act as a positive role model, helping students build the confidence and moral values needed for a successful future.
Safeguarding: Actively promote the welfare and protection of all students within the academy.
Apply today to become part of a community where your career matters as much as our students' success.
