Key Requirements
- Proven Experience: Minimum 6 months of hands-on SEN experience in primary educational settings.
- Specialist Knowledge: Demonstrated experience supporting children with Autism (ASD), ADHD, and Challenging Behaviour.
- Proactive & Supportive: A hands-on approach to assisting both students and classroom teaching staff.
- Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to build quick rapport with pupils and school teams.
- Behaviour Management: Strong, empathetic classroom and behaviour management techniques.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Providing tailored 1:1 support for individual students with specific SEN needs, as well as leading small group intervention sessions.
- Assisting teachers with delivering engaging, interactive lessons tailored to varying learning abilities.
- Fostering an inclusive, positive, and safe learning environment.
- Diffusing challenging situations and guiding pupils toward positive educational outcomes.
- Collaborating closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and support staff for a seamless learning experience.
