Are you a Psychology or Social Science graduate looking to apply your academic knowledge in a high-impact, clinical-educational setting? If you are fascinated by child development, neurodiversity, and behavioural intervention, our Specialist Trust offers the perfect environment to launch your career.
Based on a stunning 23-acre site in Cranleigh, we support children and young people with complex autism and communication difficulties. This is not just a support role-it is a frontline opportunity to observe and influence the cognitive and emotional development of neurodivergent learners.
The Professional Advantage
In this role, you will move beyond the textbook and into applied practice. You will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, working at the intersection of education and therapy.
Applied Behavioural Support: Gain hands-on experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) and low-arousal strategies.
Multidisciplinary Exposure: Collaborate daily with Educational Psychologists, Speech and Language Therapists (SaLT), and Occupational Therapists (OT).
Data-Driven Progress: Assist in tracking student milestones and contributing to Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Neurodiversity Advocacy: Develop a deep, practical understanding of the sensory and communication profiles associated with ASC and SLCN.
What We Are Looking For
We value your analytical mind and your empathy. This role is an ideal fit if:
You are a "Student of Behavior": You look past the action to understand the communication behind it.
You are Resilient & Reflective: You can handle challenging situations and use them as a learning opportunity for both the student and yourself.
You are Career-Focused: You are looking for the high-quality experience required for future applications to Doctorate or Masters programs (Clinical, Educational, or Occupational Psychology).
Why Start Your Career Here?
We provide the professional foundation you need to stand out in the field of psychology and education. You will benefit from specialist clinical training (including Makaton and specialised SEN strategies), a supportive peer network of fellow graduates, and a predictable term-time schedule that allows for continued study.
Accelerate Your Professional Development
If you are ready to turn your degree into a career that changes lives, we want to hear from you.
