About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality education tailored to meet the individual needs of students. You will work closely with colleagues, parents, and specialists to create a supportive and enriching learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the diverse learning needs of SEN students
- Develop, implement, and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for pupils, setting clear targets and monitoring progress
- Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support students' learning and development
- Assess pupils' abilities and progress regularly, adapting teaching methods as necessary
- Collaborate with parents, carers, and external agencies (e.g., therapists, psychologists) to provide holistic support
- Manage classroom behaviour and promote positive social and emotional development
- Maintain accurate records and prepare reports on pupil progress for parents and senior management
- Participate in professional development to stay updated on SEN best practices and legislation
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Strong understanding of SEN frameworks and effective teaching strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to the needs of individual pupils
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to student wellbeing
