We are currently seeking professional and resilient SEN Teachers to join our Alternative Provision settings in Plymouth. This role is intended for educators committed to delivering high-quality instruction to pupils across Primary and Secondary phases who require a non-traditional educational environment.
Responsibilities:- Design and implement a creative, adapted curriculum tailored to meet the specific academic and emotional requirements of vulnerable learners.
- Maintain a highly structured, secure, and nurturing classroom environment that fosters student stability.
- Apply evidence-based de-escalation strategies and restorative practices to manage behaviour effectively in complex situations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including teaching assistants and external agencies, to monitor and execute Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
- Develop professional, supportive relationships with students and their families to promote consistent engagement and attendance.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
- Proven track record of success within SEN or Alternative Provision environments, such as SEMH or ASD settings.
- A calm and composed professional demeanour with the capability to lead classroom support staff.
- Strong adherence to safeguarding protocols and professional standards.
- Relevant training in de-escalation frameworks is considered a significant asset.
- Competitive Compensation: £130 - £160 per day, dependant on experience.
- Schedule: Consistent hours from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (term time only).
