We are urgently seeking dedicated and emotionally intelligent SEN Teaching Assistants for long-term roles in Stevenage supporting pupils with complex needs, including PMLD, ASD, and medical needs. If you've worked in residential care, hospitals, or mental health settings, your experience could be life-changing here.

About the Schools

Your Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 or small-group support to students with high needs

• Assist with mobility, personal care, and physical routines (when required)

• Use sensory and communication tools to aid understanding

• Maintain consistency, patience, and emotional regulation throughout the day

• Support the teaching staff and contribute to behaviour strategies

You Will Need:

• Experience supporting individuals with complex SEN, mental health, or physical disabilities

• A resilient, non-judgemental approach with excellent emotional control

• Willingness to assist with personal care and moving/handling

• DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply)
