We are specifically seeking a teacher who is experienced in both special education and delivering the full primary curriculum.
Key Responsibilities
As an SEND Teacher, your unique skill set will be central to the pupils' success. You will be responsible for:
Planning, preparing, and delivering a broad and balanced primary curriculum (across all subjects) that is expertly differentiated to meet a wide range of Special Educational Needs.
Designing and implementing bespoke lessons that cater to pupils' specific learning styles, as outlined in their Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Utilising your experience with phonics and speech and language strategies to enhance pupil communication, literacy, and overall progress.
Creating a safe, predictable, and supportive classroom where pupils feel secure, understood, and ready to learn.
Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and external professionals to ensure a cohesive and effective support system for every child.
Requirements:
To be considered for this vital role, you must have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
A proven track record of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
A demonstrable ability to deliver a primary model curriculum (all subjects).
Experience teaching in EYFS and/or Primary is highly advantageous.
A firm understanding and comfort with delivering phonics.
Experience in providing speech and language support is highly desirable.
An Enhanced Child DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply for a new one).
The legal right to work in the UK without any restrictions.
