The Role
Are you an organised, compliance-driven professional looking for a role where your administrative expertise directly contributes to the safety and well-being of children?
We are seeking a Senior Fostering Administrator to join a dedicated IFA team. This is a pivotal role within their independent fostering agency, acting as the operational "engine room" that ensures our management team, foster carers; most importantly children in our care are supported by a seamless, compliant, and child-centered administrative service.
Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Administrator, you will handle a diverse portfolio of duties ranging from high-level compliance tracking to digital community engagement
- Manage and update audit systems (CHARMS), ensuring DBS checks, medicals, and training records for foster carers are accurate and up to date
Organise and facilitate formal Fostering Panels, including preparing packs and taking accurate, confidential minutes
Guide prospective and existing carers through the administrative stages of induction and annual reviews
Manage day-to-day social media engagement, drafting content that reflects our ethos while maintaining strict safeguarding and confidentiality standards
Act as a professional first point of contact for local authorities, foster carers, and enquirers, ensuring all communications are handled with empathy and efficiency
Essential Experience:
Proven experience within a fostering agency, children's services or a regulated environment.
Technical proficiency with CHARMS (or similar case management systems) and Microsoft 365 (Teams, SharePoint, Excel).
A track record in maintaining complex compliance trackers and audit systems.
Exceptional minute-taking skills and an eye for detail.
A deep understanding of safeguarding, GDPR, and data protection.
