Birmingham Children's Trust, rated 'Good' by Ofsted, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Practitioner to join a dynamic Safeguarding Team. This is an exciting opportunity to take on a key role in one of the UK's largest and most forward-thinking children's services. You'll be instrumental in ensuring that the most vulnerable children and families in Birmingham receive high-quality, effective safeguarding interventions.
Job Title: Senior Practitioner - Children's Safeguarding Team
Location: Birmingham Children's Trust
Pay Rate: £33.30 per hour
Key Responsibilities
Manage a complex caseload of child protection and safeguarding cases.
Provide professional supervision and support to social workers within the team.
Lead on multi-agency safeguarding meetings, case conferences, and court proceedings.
Undertake high-quality risk assessments and ensure care plans are effective and child-focused.
Work collaboratively with families, schools, health services, and other external agencies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of practice and service delivery.
