Are you an experienced Site Agent or Project Manager with extensive water industry experience looking for guaranteed long-term contract stability in the North West? We at Randstad are partnering with a premier tier-one civil infrastructure contractor to recruit a Senior Site Agent for a key Wastewater Treatment Works (WWTW) upgrade near Penrith.
With secured work spanning both AMP8 and AMP9, this role offers a 5+ year framework longevity across Cumbria and the wider North West region (including major flagship projects in Lancashire and Greater Manchester).
As the Senior Site Agent / PM, you will be responsible for:
- Leading the daily delivery of a £10m-£15m WWTW upgrade project, ensuring work is completed safely, on schedule, and to exact client specifications.
- Overseeing a balanced mix of heavy civil engineering and MEICA installation activities across site.
- Managing site teams, subcontractors, and gangs while driving a zero-harm safety culture.
- Ensuring full compliance with site permits, RAMS, temporary works procedures, and environmental standards.
- Maintaining strong client relationships and reporting site progress directly to the Project Director.
- Providing operational flexibility to support adjacent water infrastructure projects across Cumbria, Lancashire, and Greater Manchester as required.
The Successful Candidate Will Have:
- Proven track record as a Site Agent or Project Manager within the UK Water Industry (AMP framework experience is essential).
- Solid technical understanding of both Civils and MEICA operational scopes.
- HNC/HND (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering / Construction
- CSCS Black or Gold Card
- SMSTS (or IOSH)
- First Aid
- A Full UK Driving License
- EUSR Water Hygiene Card
- Confined Spaces
- Temporary Works Coordinator (TWC)
- NRSWA
- Location: Ideally based in Cumbria or the North West with willingness to travel to project hubs (e.g., Penrith, Blackburn, Manchester).
