We are seeking an experienced Senior Practitioner to join the Court Team in Bromley on a 3-month locum assignment. This team handles a small number of complex cases involving children and families where court proceedings are required or in progress. The role emphasizes achieving timely, stable, and secure outcomes for children through focused and effective social work practice.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage a caseload of 15-20 cases involving court proceedings.
Deliver high-quality assessments, reports, and evidence for court.
Collaborate with legal services and other multi-agency professionals.
Support and mentor less experienced team members when needed.
Promote best outcomes in line with care proceedings standards.
Adhere to statutory requirements and departmental guidelines.
Requirements:
Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
Proven experience working in court proceedings and child protection.
Strong understanding of child development, safeguarding, and legal frameworks.
Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines with quality documentation.
