We are seeking a proactive and skilled Shift Engineer to join the maintenance team at a busy 180-bed hotel in London. This is a multi-skilled role for a hands-on individual with a strong foundation in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, along with general fabric maintenance. You will be responsible for ensuring the comfort and safety of guests and staff by providing timely and effective maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
PPM and Reactive Maintenance: Perform both scheduled planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs on all hotel systems to ensure uninterrupted operations.
HVAC Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot a range of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems, including AHUs and FCUs, to ensure guest comfort.
Electrical Maintenance: Carry out electrical fault-finding and repairs on power, lighting, and distribution systems.
Mechanical Systems: Service and repair mechanical plant, including pumps, motors, boilers and cooling towers.
Plumbing & Water Systems: Address plumbing issues such as leaks, blockages, and repairs to sanitary ware. Conduct routine water hygiene checks.
General Fabric Maintenance: Handle minor carpentry, painting, and general repairs to maintain the hotel's appearance and functionality.
Guest & Staff Liaison: Respond to all maintenance requests from guests and hotel staff in a professional and timely manner.
Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all health and safety regulations, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest standard.
Requirements
- Previous maintenance expeirence in hospitality/hotel environment (essential)
- 18th Edition (essential)
- C&G/NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Electrical/Mechanical/Plumbing & Heating
- 2 years min. post qualification hands-on experience
- Full right to work in the UK
