Are you an experienced and technically skilled engineer with a passion for leadership and a desire to build a team from the ground up? We're seeking a Shift Leader to join a brand-new team maintaining a prestigious commercial office in the heart of the City of London. This is a fantastic opportunity for a proactive and hands-on leader to shape a new maintenance culture.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and mentor a team of shift technicians, fostering a culture of excellence, safety, and collaboration.
Act as the senior point of contact for all technical and operational issues during your shift.
Oversee and manage the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedule and all reactive works.
Manage and issue Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) and permits for all tasks.
Coordinate with contractors and client representatives, ensuring smooth operations and clear communication.
- Perform and supervise PPM and reactive maintenance on all building services, including:
- Electrical: Power distribution, switchgear, generators, lighting, and fire alarm systems, building shutdowns
- Mechanical: HVAC systems (AHUs, FCUs, chillers), pumps, motors, and heating/cooling plant.
Utilise a Building Management System (BMS) to monitor and adjust plant performance for optimal efficiency.
Diagnose and rectify complex mechanical and electrical faults efficiently.
Maintain meticulous records of all work completed in the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
What We're Offering:
A competitive salary of £52,000 - £55,000.
