About the Role
A leading civil engineering joint venture delivering a major UK infrastructure project is seeking an experienced Site Engineer specializing in Earthworks.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with the Sub Agent and Section Foreman to manage and allocate labor, plant, and material resources, ensuring all activities meet safety, quality, schedule, and budgetary standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting-Out & Technical Support: Work within the setting-out team, mentor junior engineers, and resolve technical challenges on-site in coordination with senior leadership.
- Subcontractor Management: Coordinate and monitor subcontractor performance to ensure full contractual compliance.
- Resource & Information Flow: Ensure field teams have updated documentation, tools, and materials needed to execute daily tasks smoothly.
- Planning & Reporting: Assist with project programming, progress updates, resource tracking, cost planning, and financial forecasting.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: HNC, HND, or Degree in Civil Engineering (or equivalent experience); working toward professional membership (e.g., ICE).
- Experience: Proven hands-on site engineering experience with a strong background in Earthworks and construction supervision.
- Certifications: Valid CSCS card (Black, Gold, White, or Red Experienced) and a full UK driving license with access to a vehicle.
