This Site Manager position offers an outstanding opportunity to manage major civil engineering and infrastructure projects based out of Gloucestershire. You will take full operational responsibility for daily site delivery, driving high safety, quality, and environmental standards while maximizing commercial performance.
- Lead multidisciplinary site teams, direct labour, and subcontractors to deliver complex civil schemes safely and to specification.
- Manage construction programs, produce 2-week look-aheads, and oversee site RAMS, ITPs, and material procurement schedules.
- Monitor project cost plans, maintain detailed site records, and drive value engineering opportunities across operations.
- Act as the primary client interface on site, holding regular progress meetings and delivering accurate monthly reporting.
About You
You are an experienced Site Manager with a strong background in heavy civil engineering, particularly involving deep drainage or water infrastructure projects. Your technical knowledge is paired with strong direct labour leadership, commercial awareness under NEC contracts, and sound operational planning skills.
- Hold a recognized Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering or an equivalent professional qualification.
- Demonstrate proven experience as a Site Manager or Site Agent delivering heavy civils schemes for a main contractor.
- Possess strong commercial awareness under NEC contracts alongside solid construction programming capabilities.
- Hold active credentials including an SMSTS certificate, CSCS Black or Gold Card, and TWC or NRSWA Supervisor training.
