Randstad is partnering with Swansea Council to recruit a Social Worker for the Children's Access Point (CAP) Assessment Team, working at the front door of children's services to complete timely assessments and safeguard children.
About the Role
As a Social Worker within the CAP Assessment Team, you will:
Undertake statutory assessments of children and families following referrals into Children's Services.
Analyse risk and need to inform decision-making and next steps.
Complete visits, assessments, and reports within statutory timescales.
Work collaboratively with partner agencies to promote positive outcomes.
Manage a caseload effectively within a hybrid working model.
Requirements
Qualified Social Worker with a Social Work Degree or equivalent qualification.
Experience within children's services, ideally in assessment or safeguarding roles.
Registered with Social Care Wales.
Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
A current and valid DBS check.
