Position description / Job description- Work with children and families from referral through assessment, Child in Need (CIN)/Team Around the Child (TAC) support, child protection, pre-court and court proceedings, and children in care.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with children, young people, and their families.
- Conduct thorough assessments (e.g., Section 17, Section 47, Child and Family Assessments).
- Develop and implement child-centred plans (CIN Plans, Child Protection Plans, Care Plans).
- Respond to safeguarding concerns, undertake Child Protection Enquiries (Section 47).
- Engage in direct work with children and families.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
- Prepare statutory reports for court proceedings and participate in legal processes.
We're looking for you, if:
- You have a social work degree and relevant professional registration.
- You possess post-qualification experience in children's social work, covering CIN/CP, court work, and permanence.
- You have experience conducting thorough assessments and developing child-centred plans.
- You are proficient in working with children and families from diverse backgrounds.
- You demonstrate strong communication, interpersonal, and report-writing skills.
- You are able to work independently and as part of a team.
- You are adept at managing complex cases and responding to crisis situations.
- You are committed to continuous professional development.
