We are actively seeking a compassionate and highly skilled Mental Health Specialist Mentor to join our student support team. This is a vital, high-priority role where you will make a tangible difference in the academic and personal journeys of our students. Responsibilities
- Design and implement personalized support plans tailored to the unique needs of neurodiverse students.
- Provide expert mental health guidance and counseling to help students navigate academic and personal challenges.
- Collaborate closely with university staff to foster a holistic, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential student records while contributing to ongoing service improvement initiatives.
- Stay at the forefront of the field by keeping updated on the latest best practices in mental health support.
Qualifications
- Active professional body registration (e.g., BACP, BPS, HCPC, NCPS, NMC, SWE, SCW, UMHAN, or COSCA).
- Proven experience in supporting the mental health needs of students.
- Strong background in working with neurodiverse individuals and proficiency in mentoring techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with a commitment to inclusivity.
- Bachelor's degree is highly advantageous.
