The RoleAs a supply KS2 Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging lessons to junior classes across various local Leeds primary schools, ensuring academic progress is maintained in the teacher's absence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lesson Delivery: Step into classrooms with confidence, delivering pre-planned lessons across the KS2 curriculum, including upper KS2 requirements.
Academic Motivation: Keep older primary pupils focused, driven, and excited about subjects like English, Mathematics, and Science.
Classroom Management: Establish clear boundaries and a positive learning environment quickly using effective behaviour management strategies.
Marking & Feedback: Ensure all work completed during the day is marked in line with school policies, leaving a helpful handover note for the returning teacher.
Essential: Applicants must have UK experience teaching within a primary school setting.
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised UK teaching qualification.
Strong knowledge of the UK National Curriculum for Key Stage 2 (Years 3-6).
An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete a new check through Randstad).
