We are currently seeking a highly skilled Senior Social Worker (Level 3) to join our Children and Families service. In this role, you will be instrumental in delivering high-quality, complex services, ensuring that the voice of the child is at the heart of every decision.
Key Responsibilities- Act as a highly capable practitioner, assessing and managing complex, high-risk cases with autonomy and sound judgement.
- Utilise active listening and observation to build robust, supportive relationships with children, young people, and their families.
- Formulate child-centered plans and conduct thorough assessments, integrating research evidence and theoretical knowledge.
- Collaborate effectively within a multi-agency environment, sharing expertise to identify service gaps and build capacity among partners.
- Use your advanced knowledge of legislation-particularly regarding adoption, permanence, and the impact of trauma-to achieve positive outcomes.
- Provide mentor ship and coaching to colleagues, promoting best practices and professional development across the team.
- Social Work Degree (CQSW/CSS/DipSW) and active Social Work England registration.
- Minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant statutory setting.
- Extensive experience working with children, families, and Children Looked After.
- Proven ability to manage high-pressure situations and produce clear, analytical written reports.
- Strong commitment to ongoing professional development at an advanced level.
- Full, independent ability to travel both within and outside the region.
- Please note: This position requires an Enhanced DBS check for Children and Adults.
