We are seeking a proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic Primary Supply Teaching Assistant to join our team in the Newton Abbot area.
This role is ideal for anyone with classroom experience looking for the ultimate flexibility. Whether you want to work two days a week or five, supply work allows you to choose your own schedule while making a real impact in local primary schools across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2.
Your Key Responsibilities:
Classroom Support: Assist the class teacher with preparing resources and maintaining a positive, engaging learning environment.
Targeted Intervention: Provide vital one-to-one and small group support, focusing on literacy and numeracy.
Inclusion: Support students with diverse learning needs, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
Behaviour Management: Help manage classroom behaviour positively, encouraging good conduct and focus.
Supervision: Ensure student safety and well-being during break times and lunchtimes.
Compliance: Follow individual school policies and safeguarding procedures to maintain a safe environment.
What We Are Looking For:
Prior experience working with children within a classroom or similar educational setting.
A reliable, punctual, and professional attitude.
The ability to think on your feet and adapt quickly to different school environments and year groups.
A genuine passion for supporting children's education and emotional growth.
An enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
