Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dynamic support to class teachers in delivering lessons across the primary curriculum, including literacy, phonics, and numeracy.
- Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small guided groups to reinforce learning and boost confidence.
- Support pupils with diverse needs, including Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), providing gentle encouragement and sensory or emotional regulation support where required.
- Assist in creating an engaging, organised, and safe learning environment, helping prepare resources and display work.
- Encourage positive behaviour, social skills, and peer interaction in the classroom and during playground supervision.
- Provide constructive feedback to the class teacher regarding student engagement, progress, and well-being.
What We Look For:
- Previous experience working with or supporting children (in primary schools, nurseries, youth groups, tutoring, or sports coaching).
- A warm, resilient, and proactive approach with a genuine passion for early years and primary development.
- Strong literacy, numeracy, and communication skills to support learning across Key Stages 1 and 2.
- An adaptable nature and the confidence to integrate smoothly into different primary classroom environments.
- A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to apply for one).
