Responsibilities- Provide targeted 1:1 support tailored to the specific learning requirements of students with SEN.
- Facilitate small group interventions to enhance academic progress and boost pupil confidence.
- Maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment that promotes effective learning.
- Utilise evidence-based behavioural management strategies to sustain student engagement and focus.
- Collaborate closely with teaching staff to assess, document, and report on individual student development.
- Proven experience in an educational setting providing support to children with SEN.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to maintain professional rapport with pupils, staff, and parents.
- Possession of an enhanced DBS check or an immediate willingness to obtain one.
- Fluency in written and spoken English.
- Relevant childcare or teaching assistant certifications are highly desirable.
- Specialised training in SEN methodologies, such as Makaton, PECS, or Team Teach, is considered an asset.
