The Role: SEN Teaching Assistant
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students to achieve their full potential. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing one-on-one and small-group support to students with severe learning difficulties and pre-verbal communication challenges.
- Assisting with the implementation of individualised education plans (IEPs) and therapeutic strategies.
- Building positive and trusting relationships with students to support their emotional and social development.
- Confidently undertaking personal care duties with dignity and respect.
- Essential Requirements & Skills
- We are seeking candidates who are passionate about making a difference and who possess the following:
- Proven experience working with children or young adults with Special Educational Needs.
- A strong understanding of severe learning difficulties and pre-verbal communication.
- Confidence and compassion in providing personal care.
- Resilience, patience, and a positive attitude.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
