We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Teaching Assistant to join a supportive secondary school environment in Rainham starting this November. This position is available on either a long-term or permanent basis and focuses on providing high-quality classroom support and pastoral care to help students accelerate their academic and personal growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver structured interventions focused on Cognition & Learning and Communication & Interaction.
- Provide dedicated classroom and pastoral support across various year groups.
- Work closely with class teachers and SEN staff to monitor student progress and maintain an inclusive learning environment.
- Assist with classroom management, encouraging positive behaviour and active participation.
Essential Requirements
- Essential Training & Experience: Applicants must possess formal training and proven experience in specific interventions for Cognition & Learning as well as Communication & Interaction. Applications without this essential experience cannot be considered.
- A compassionate, adaptable, and energetic approach to supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
