Role Overview: In a secondary SEND setting, "wins" are measured by growing independence-whether that is a student gaining the confidence to contribute to a class discussion or successfully managing the transition between subject blocks. We are looking for professional, steady individuals who can provide the consistent support these students need to flourish.
The Pay & AWR Benefit
Initial Pay: £90 - £100 per day (Weekly Pay)
AWR Uplift: £95 - £110 per day
The AWR Advantage: We value your commitment. In line with Agency Workers Regulations (AWR), your daily rate will automatically increase after 12 weeks of continuous service in the same role. This ensures your pay remains competitive and reflects your growing contribution to the school community.
The Role
Inclusion Support: Assist students with SEND (including ASD, ADHD, and SEMH) to access the curriculum.
Independence Mentoring: Help pupils develop life skills and self-regulation as they move toward adulthood.
Small-Group Interventions: Lead targeted sessions to improve literacy, numeracy, and social-emotional development.
Collaboration: Partner with subject teachers to ensure learning materials are accessible for all.
The Requirements
Experience: A background in education, youth work, or psychology is preferred.
Resilience: A calm, "unflappable" nature when supporting teenagers with complex needs.
Communication: Ability to build strong rapport with students and staff alike.
Compliance: Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for a new one).
