Job Title: Primary Teaching Assistant (Flexible Day-to-Day & Long-Term)
Location: Okehampton, Devon (including Hatherleigh, Chagford, Tavistock & Surrounding Areas)
Salary: £92.56 - £95.00 per day
Hours: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Randstad Education is currently recruiting dedicated Primary TAs to join vibrant, welcoming primary school teams across Okehampton and West Devon. Whether you are looking for local day-to-day supply flexibility or long-term consistency, these positions offer steady school hours (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM), ensuring an excellent work-life balance while making a real impact on children's education.
Key Responsibilities- Classroom Support: Assist primary school teachers in delivering engaging, dynamic curriculum lessons.
- Targeted Intervention: Work 1-on-1 or with small groups in literacy and numeracy to build student confidence and progress.
- Inclusive Learning: Provide tailored support for pupils with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND / SEN).
- Environment & Wellbeing: Foster a positive, safe, and nurturing learning environment for young learners.
- Experience working with primary age children in school, nursery, youth work, or care environments.
- Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach to supporting pupil development.
- Strong standard of literacy and numeracy (GCSE Grade C/4 in English & Maths or equivalent).
- An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or readiness to complete one).
- Full right to work in the UK.
- Competitive Pay: £92.56 - £95.00 per day, paid weekly.
