A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Interim Team Leader to support a Kinship Care Team within a fostering service in Stockport. This post covers sickness absence with the possibility of further Team Leader cover afterwards.

- Provide clear, supportive leadership and supervision to Assessing Social Workers
- Oversee Form K and SGO assessments, ensuring they meet statutory and court-directed expectations
- Manage the daily Kinship Duty System and allocate work effectively
- Support the duty social workers with Reg 24, PLO, and viability assessments
- Maintain high standards of practice across the team in line with fostering and kinship legislation
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners, including courts and Children's Services
To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:
- BSc Social Work or equivalent
- Proven experience in fostering and/or kinship care
- Strong leadership or supervisory experience
- Solid understanding of Form K, SGO, and court-directed assessments
