Team Manager - Referral & Triage (Children's Services)

We're currently working a local authority in Liverpool, who are looking for an Interim Team Manager to lead a small team triaging referrals in line with the Liverpool Level of Need (LON) guidance. This is a vital role supporting robust threshold decisions and ensuring children and families receive the right level of support, at the right time.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage a small team triaging new referrals into children's services
- Apply the local authorities Level of Need (LON) guidance to make accurate and timely decisions
- Ensure referrals are appropriately signposted to Early Help, CIN, CP, or other services
- Liaise with MASH, health, education, and other key partners to gather relevant information
- Provide reflective supervision and ensure consistent threshold decision-making
- Contribute to performance monitoring and safeguarding best practice at the front door
To be considered for the role, ideally you will have:
- SWE-registered qualified social worker
- Significant frontline experience in MASH, Duty, Assessment, or Referral & Advice teams
- Previous experience managing or supervising social workers
- Sound understanding of thresholds, triage, and front door processes
- Excellent multi-agency working and leadership skills
