Team Manager - Fostering Team: Durham County Council
Durham County Council is seeking an experienced and passionate Team Manager to lead our Fostering Team. This is a crucial role for a resilient and dedicated individual committed to providing outstanding support to our foster carers and ensuring the best possible outcomes for children in our care. We offer a competitive rate of £37.66 per hour.
Roles & Responsibilities
Lead and Inspire: Provide strong leadership, supervision, and guidance to the Fostering Team, fostering a positive and high-performing culture.
Case Oversight: Oversee complex cases, ensuring that care plans and placement decisions are of the highest standard and meet the needs of the children.
Recruitment & Retention: Drive the recruitment, assessment, and retention of a diverse pool of foster carers, expanding our capacity to meet the needs of vulnerable children.
Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
Partnership Working: Collaborate effectively with internal and external partners to deliver a seamless and integrated fostering service.
Key Requirements
You must be a qualified Social Worker with a recognized social work qualification.
Current registration with Social Work England is essential.
An updated Enhanced DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check is required.
Proven experience in a leadership or managerial role within a fostering or looked-after children's service is highly desirable.
