About the Role
- Strategic & Operational Leadership: Lead, direct, and manage the day-to-day operations of the Community Mental Health Social Work Team to ensure high-quality, outcome-focused service delivery across Renfrewshire.
- Integrated Working: Work collaboratively alongside colleagues, multidisciplinary team (MDT) members, and third-sector partners within the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP) framework.
- Statutory Governance & Compliance: Oversee the statutory duties of the team under the Mental Health (Care and Treatment) (Scotland) Act 2003 and the Adults with Incapacity (Scotland) Act 2000, ensuring adherence to legislative standards and SSSC codes of practice.
- Staff Management & Development: Line-manage Senior Social Workers, Social Workers, Mental Health Officers (MHOs), and support staff. Conduct regular clinical supervision, professional appraisals, and support continuous professional development (CPD).
- Quality Assurance & Safeguarding: Lead on adult protection inquiries, risk management, and quality assurance processes to safeguard vulnerable individuals and continuously improve service delivery.
- Resource & Budget Management: Effectively manage allocated team budgets, commission appropriate care packages, and allocate resources efficiently to meet local population needs.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualified Social Worker: Degree in Social Work (DipSW, BA, or equivalent).
- Management Experience
- Professional Registration: Active registration with the SSSC (or eligible to register immediately).
