Monday - Friday: 8am - 5pm
The Role:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Operations/Contract Manager to oversee a portfolio of sites. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service delivery, compliance, and client satisfaction. You will lead a team of engineering professionals, manage all aspects of the contract, and drive a proactive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational Management
Oversee and coordinate the daily operations of assigned sites, ensuring full compliance with company policies and procedures.
Ensure the contract meets all health and safety working conditions and that all statutory and code compliances are met.
Manage the fast and effective procurement of materials and services needed for site operations.
Produce dilapidation and operational reports on a monthly basis, or as requested by the client.
Investigate and report on major operational incidents, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
Ensure all reactive and PPMs are aligned with the contract and that PPM is carried out in accordance with manufacturer's guidelines and SFG20.
Conduct monthly site reviews and at least two site audits per contract per year.
Ensure effective escalation procedures are in place for all callouts and operational incidents.
Promote and maintain the core values of the company.
Team Leadership & Development
Provide clear leadership and guidance to the team, including engineers and site staff.
Be responsible for the fast and effective appointment of engineers, ensuring the team is fully competent.
Manage all aspects of man management, team development, and disciplinary matters.
Conduct engineer appraisals and ensure ongoing training needs are met.
Promote a positive H&S culture across the entire team, including conducting monthly toolbox talks.
Ensure engineers are properly equipped, that uniforms are in good condition, and that all testing equipment is calibrated.
Work with senior management to ensure the collaborative development of the business.
Client & Financial Management
Work closely with Contract Support to maintain high service levels.
Meet with clients regularly to ensure consistent communication and attend monthly client meetings.
Maintain high client satisfaction levels, leading to the development of the contract and increasing responsibilities.
Ensure additional services and projects are added to the contract, and that contracts are successfully re-tendered.
Take full ownership of P&L, Debt, and WIP.
Provide weekly flash reports to clients and internal managers where appropriate.
Proactively source additional works and raise quotations.
Qualifications and Experience:
Proven experience in a similar role within the facilities management or building services industry.
Strong understanding of health and safety regulations and compliance.
Demonstrable experience in team leadership and performance management.
Excellent financial acumen with a track record of managing P&L.
Proficiency in CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management Systems) and other related software.
Exceptional communication and client-facing skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
