About the Role:
We are currently recruiting an experienced Telehandler Driver for an ongoing contract role on a high-volume residential new build development in Newcastle upon Tyne.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operating a telescopic handler across an active, busy new build housing development.
- Unloading delivery wagons and safely stacking and distributing materials (facing brick packs, blockwork, timber kits, roof trusses).
- Servicing bricklayers, joiners, and roofers with planned ground and scaffold loading lifts.
- Conducting daily pre-use plant checks, logging machine inspections, and keeping the cab and telehandler clean and well-maintained.
- Adhering strictly to site traffic management plans, pedestrian segregation routes, and safe working load limits.
- Assisting site management during quiet operating periods with compound organization and general site housekeeping.
What We Are Looking For:
- Valid CPCS or NPORS Card with Telescopic Handler category (Essential).
- Proven experience operating a Telehandler on residential new build housing schemes.
- Full PPE (Hard hat, high-vis jacket/vest, steel toe cap boots).
- Valid UK Driving Licence.
- Safety-conscious attitude, dependable work ethic, and excellent punctuality.
- Strong communication skills via site two-way radio.
- Based in or easily commutable to Newcastle upon Tyne (Gateshead, North/South Tyneside, or Northumberland).
