Job Title: Traffic Marshal / Vehicle Gate Person
Location: Eltham, South East London
Salary: £17.00 - £19.00 per hour (Dependent on experience & payment type)
Duration: Ongoing / Contract
Hours: 45 - 50 hours per week (9 - 10 hours per day, Monday to Friday)
About the Role: Randstad is currently recruiting for an experienced, reliable Traffic Marshal / Vehicle Gate Person to join a high-profile, major tier-1 school construction project in the Eltham area.
As the gate person, you will be the face of the site, responsible for the safe management of site plant, delivery vehicles, and pedestrian safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely directing and managing heavy plant, delivery vehicles, and wagons arriving and departing from the busy site entrance.
Liaising closely with the site management team regarding delivery schedules.
Ensuring members of the public and pedestrians are kept safe during vehicle maneuvers.
Maintaining a clean, organised, and secure gate environment.
Adhering strictly to the site's health, safety, and environmental protocols.
Requirements & Vetting:
Must hold a valid CPCS (A73) or NPORS (N403) Traffic Marshal / Vehicle Signaller ticket (Essential).
Valid CSCS card.
Full Orange PPE (High-Vis jacket/trousers, hard hat, steel toe-cap boots).
Minimum 2 years of experience managing busy site gates for major contractors.
Excellent communication skills and a proactive attitude toward site safety.
Ability to provide two valid working references from recent construction projects.
