Looking to make a meaningful impact in a beautiful coastal and rural community?
On behalf of the East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnership, Randstad is recruiting for an experienced, community-minded Adults Social Worker.
If you are a professional who loves combining high-quality, statutory practice with person-centered care-and enjoys working in a scenic, supportive environment-this is the ideal opportunity. We need someone who can step into the team with confidence, pick up a caseload, and deliver excellent service to adults and their families across the region.
Why East Lothian with Randstad?
- The Best of Both Worlds: Work across a stunning mix of historic market towns, coastal villages, and rural countryside.
- True Work-Life Balance: Benefit from a 36-hour full-time week with a partnership that embraces flexible work practices to fit your life.
- Supportive Infrastructure: Step into a well-integrated team where health and social care professionals work collaboratively.
- The Randstad Experience: Enjoy dedicated compliance support, weekly payroll, and a consultant who stays in your corner.
What You'll Be Doing
You will be delivering vital statutory social work services to vulnerable adults, ensuring their safety, independence, and well-being. Your day-to-day will involve:
- Undertaking robust community-based assessments, outcome-focused care planning, and regular reviews.
- Leading or contributing to Adult Support and Protection (ASP) inquiries to ensure individuals are safeguarded.
- Managing complex casework, including Adults with Incapacity and self-directed support (SDS) options.
- Traveling across the East Lothian area to build authentic relationships with service users in their own homes and communities.
What We Need From You (The Requirements)
Because you will be working independently across a wide geographic area, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Professional Registration: Active registration with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council) as a qualified Social Worker.
- Statutory Experience: Proven experience working within adult services, community care, or mental health within a UK statutory setting.
- Legislative Confidence: Solid understanding of relevant Scottish legislation (Adult Support and Protection Act, Adults with Incapacity Act).
- Driver: A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle for community visits are essential.
