Autism Practitioner
Location: Fife (Kirkcaldy, Dunfermline, Cowdenbeath, Cardenden) - Office & Community-based
Salary: £13.45 - £13.67/hr (Progress up to £14.15/hr) + £107.60 per sleepover
Hours: Full-Time & Part-Time available (Days, evenings, and weekend shifts required)
Are you a confident and experienced support professional? We are seeking dedicated Autism Practitioners to join our team in Fife, supporting over 60 autistic adults to lead meaningful, independent lives.
The Role
Reporting to the Senior Practitioner, you will play an active role in service planning, delivery, and coordination. Working in staffing ratios ranging from 1:1 to 2:1, you will have the autonomy to ensure the highest quality of person-centred support.
Key Responsibilities
Provide support to autistic individuals following outcome-based plans.
Act as a Keyworker, leading meetings and participating in regular reviews.
Maintain accurate, robust records utilizing internal online digital systems.
Implement low-arousal support focusing on reducing and eliminating restraint.
Collaborate with families, carers, and external partners to maximize service effectiveness.
Requirements
Experience: Proven experience as a capable support professional in a care environment is essential.
Skills: Strong communication skills, IT literacy, and a flexible, creative approach to problem-solving.
Qualifications: Registered with the SSSC (or equivalent) and holding or willing to work towards a relevant qualification.
Compliance: Must be a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme.
