Salary: £24,000 - £26,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
The Role
As a Level 2 Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting pupils both academically and emotionally throughout their school day. Working alongside teachers and a multidisciplinary team, you will help deliver engaging learning experiences while promoting positive behaviour, independence, and personal development.
You will build meaningful relationships with pupils, helping them feel safe, supported, and motivated to achieve their individual goals.
Key Responsibilities
... - Support pupils in accessing learning activities across the curriculum
- Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning and understanding
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional regulation
- Support pupils' social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
- Encourage independence and personal growth
- Assist with personal care when required
- Monitor pupil wellbeing and provide feedback on progress and development
- Support the teacher with classroom preparation, learning resources, and record keeping
- Work collaboratively with families, colleagues, and external professionals
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and nurturing school culture
We're Looking For
- Eligibility to work in UK
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalent Level 2 qualification)
- A genuine passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs
- Patience, resilience, and a positive outlook
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A creative and adaptable approach to supporting learning
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- A willingness to learn and develop within a specialist education environment
Previous experience within education, SEND, care, youth work, support work, residential care, or healthcare is welcomed but not essential.
